You can get the best of both worlds...a waterfront backdrop and Arizona's clear weather. Below you will find our list of the best waterfront and lakeside wedding venues in Arizona. Consider which one might suit your aesthetics and be the very best place to house your dream wedding...

Venue at the Cove

You don't have to go far to find a great lakeside wedding venue. Venue at the Cove is only 45 minutes from Phoenix, but looks out over Bartlett Lake, not to mention beautiful mountains. If you are traveling or your guests are, you can rent kayaks and enjoy the lake, go fishing, relax on the shore, or jump in the lake to cool off. This brand new venue has a spacious outdoor area with a lighted and covered patio for evening weddings and receptions. The venue fee includes the use of cottages to get ready, and you can choose between two packages for up to 200 guests and one for 75 to 150 guests that includes a boat ride with hors d'oeuvres and drinks for the bride and groom...hugely romantic!

They do micro weddings too, and will do weddings early in the morning or late at night to beat the heat. There is an air-conditioned indoor space to flee to, and the venue is fully accessible. On-site catering includes a chef-inspired menu with fresh ingredients.

Windmill Winery

If your dream wedding is a winery, then the Windmill Winery's beautiful lake house will fit the bill. Choose between an indoor and outdoor reception in a venue that can handle over 200 guests and has multiple ceremony sites to choose from, one of them on the boat dock. This custom-built, award-winning venue has a picturesque banquet hall for either the ceremony or the reception - perfect when the temperature soars.

Reserving the lakefront location gives you access to the Bridal Bungalow and Gentleman's Quarters for final preparations. And you can choose to add to your package an antique video for photo ops, a fire pit, and even a gelato bar.

The Gardens Weddings

Located in beautiful Queen Creek, Arizona, The Gardens offers an enchanting outdoor venue with a huge pecan tree and views of Pecan Lake. Take photos in their botanical gardens or 250-acre pecan tree orchard, or enjoy the rustic charm of their grist mill! The grist mill has a spacious bridal suite tucked inside and also a lovely balcony for photos. Visiting families will love spending time at the Pecan Lake Entertainment adventure park right next door.

They have an amazing indoor/outdoor dining space that's also great for rehearsal dinners. And some of the food might come from the edible but elegant plants in the garden. They have a dance floor surrounded by a grass lawn that's perfect for dancing...or for your ceremony. If the weather is unpredictable, they'll put up a tent with great views.

Hidden Lake Weddings

This venue lives up to its name...nestled close to Hidden Lake, it has a private peninsula surrounded by water and mountains that can accommodate anything from 50 to over 300 guests in a large outdoor reception space. It has a permanent dance floor and an adorable bridal suite, as well as firepits and no noise restrictions. Their smaller Sunset Ridge location under an old mesquite tree is suitable for up to 75 guests with lake and mountain views, an outdoor fireplace, and beautiful lighting.

As a note, Hidden Lake is currently under renovations and will most likely reopen in 2026...as an even better location for your wedding. But when it comes back, it will be convenient to Phoenix and offer endless possibilities for rustic or chic style alike.

Havasu Springs Resort

Havasu Springs is one of the better-known lakeside resorts. The venue is high on a ridge at one end of the lake with beautiful lake and desert views. They offer comprehensive packages including not just the ceremony and reception, but rehearsal dinner and farewell brunch. This established resort is a great choice for destination weddings or far-flung families, with plenty of accommodation available.

The beautiful Pointe and Harbor Room venue includes an outdoor ceremony site right on the lake and a banquet hall with soaring ceilings and soft lighting, not to mention floor-to-ceiling windows. They also have a fantastic floral design service through By Meraki Botanical Designs. And guests who choose to stick around can enjoy all of the resort's amenities, including watersports and golf.

IronOaks at Sun Lakes

Located near Chandler, IronOaks offers a lovely outdoor ceremony space with a waterfront lawn and palm trees. Formal receptions take place in the Grand Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 400 people. Outdoor dining is available, and smaller groups can enjoy the Alcove...a great location for intimate receptions or for rehearsal dinners.

You will have access to staging and audiovisual equipment for your live band or DJ, as well as all the decorations you need. IronOaks is also a golf resort, so a good choice if key people in your family like to work on their handicap. Be aware that they only allow outside catering for couples with religious requirements.

Antelope Point Marina

If your idea of romantic is "floating," then Antelope Point Marina might be a good choice. Ceremony sites include a serene beach, their dock, but also the top of a houseboat. You can arrange your rehearsal and/or reception at their floating restaurant on Lake Powell. If you love the water, you can also rent a houseboat for your honeymoon. Take your close family out on the lake in a pontoon boat.

The second largest reservoir in the U.S., Lake Powell, makes a fantastic backdrop, and this is the only place we know of where you can easily get married on a boat. Enjoy your time on the water.

The Nautical Beach Front Resort

Also on beautiful Lake Havasu, the Nautical Beachfront Resort has beautiful views and offers several unique locations. Choose the Lakeside Terrace for spectacular views and a more formal occasion, or the Main Beach for casual beach weddings. More than 50 guests? You'll get a two-night stay in their Honeymoon Beach Suite.

Larger parties can use the Conference Center & Patio for big receptions in a beautiful, climate-controlled space. And out-of-town visitors will love the lakefront rooms and suites, access to two private beaches and an infinity pool, and much more.

Consider any of these wonderful venues for your lakeside wedding...whether you want spectacular desert mountain views, your private beach, a boat, or an amazing banquet hall. Make your special day truly special in these beautiful places, from well-known resorts to hidden gems.
